Mandibular All-on-Frame: A case study

Check out our latest case study 🔬

Here is a case of complete mandibular rehabilitation using the subperiosteal implant technique — All-on-Frame, manufactured by Trimedy — in an 80-year-old patient, performed by Dr. Romain Castro.

The patient suffered from very severe bone atrophy in the mandible. She had previously undergone a failed rehabilitation using a supra-implant removable prosthesis on two parasymphyseal implants (which were well osseointegrated; the decision was made to retain them to limit the impact on the already very fragile bone tissue). The prosthesis was constantly destabilized by muscle movement. Indeed, the mucosal and muscular environment was completely disrupted in the atrophic skeletal diagram!

Following the prosthetic project, validated with the help of the corresponding dental surgeon, we were able to design the implant and prosthesis prior to surgery.

Rigorous planning, accurate data collection, and a well-executed surgical protocol are the ingredients needed to deliver a new jaw, a new fixed prosthesis, and, consequently, a completely new level of comfort — all in a single 1-hour-and-45-minute procedure under general anesthesia.
